Job Description
Role purpose: Retail Learning and Development is part of the Global Retail People and Culture team within Mobility and Convenience. It is responsible for designing, providing and delivering training learning and development solutions for retail teams. This role is key to partner with a specific retail business area ensuring the learning and development needs are delivered and to ensure the team have the necessary knowledge, skills and capability to perform their role safely and compliantly.
Responsibilities
Understands the strategic workforce and skill development context for their area of responsibility and how this connects to common priorities across bp to ensure solutions deliver maximum value.
Contributes to the creation of the prioritized skills required for their area of responsibility, including detailed needs analysis.
Builds strong working relationships to ensure solutions developed and driven meet needs by creating an effective atmosphere for collaboration between subject matter experts, customers, and the learning offer and design team.
Advocates for LMS to drive adoption, usage and business impact.
Uses data, insights and feedback to support continuous improvement, recommending changes to ensure performance outcomes are achieved and solutions are refined to increase impact and efficiency.
Analyse learning data metrics, sharing custom reports and insights with local stakeholders to find opportunities for learning offer improvement.
Increase engagement and encourage a learning culture through analyses audience feedback, focusing on learning effectiveness, skill development, and behavioural changes to refine learning strategies
Lead learning processes ensuring required training and skill-building programs are effectively delivered, supporting both current performance and future skill development, providing training that equips our people with all the necessary skills and competencies to do their roles effectively whilst ensuring that we operate sites safely
Liaise with their area of responsibility on local plans and activities to ensure the learning offer aligns with local objectives and legal/compliance requirements and ensure Learning solutions are considered for any business change
Support their area of responsibility in understanding learner needs and support project delivery through either learning materials or other channels.
Lead and continuously review central training materials to ensure that they are up to date, engaging and fit for purpose.
Deliver / facilitate / co-ordinate training sessions either face to face/ virtual where necessary
Support the daily operations of the LMS, including user queries and access, course assignments, course credit and system updates.
Provide data and analytical support for regional or special projects, investigations, and initiatives as needed.
Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and all bp policies - global and local. Ensure data security is maintained at all times in accordance with bp standards and local requirements.
Required qualifications
Formal education: Degree or equivalent desirable, learning and Development certification / qualification also desirable
