Clinical Laboratory Scientist

Position: Clinical Laboratory Scientist (Molecular Techologist)
Location: Silver Springs, MD
Salary: $85,000- $95,000
US Citizen

SPECIFIC DUTIES/TASKS THE CONTRACT EMPLOYEE SHALL: 

• 1. Evaluates protocols for compliance with applicable regulations governing human subjects’ protection.
• 2. If approved by the COR or KO, contractor employees’ may be authorized to work a schedule that differs from the Anticipated Duty Hours.
• 3. Contractor is required to follow mandatory documents to the extent they apply to this contract. Any such changes to mandatory publications which cause a change in the scope of performance within the meaning of the “Changes” clause will not be implemented by the Contractor until a change in order or modification is issued by the KO.
• 4. Provides oversight and coordinates the functions associated with an “honest broker” system.
• 5. Analyzes the role and impact of other auxiliary departments on the proposed studies and coordinates their input.
• 6. Participates with the Principal Investigator in the scientific design of protocols associated with studies and makes recommendations on methodology.
• 7. Assures the proper documentation of project/study, giving particular attention to any protocol modifications.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Requires a BS, RN or BSN degree or equivalent and 2-5 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
2. Professional knowledge of a wide range of scientific and biomedical concepts, principles and practices to perform the highly specialized tasks of developing and supporting proposed and active clinical cases; interpreting regulations associated with the studies and identifying potential threats to compliance with regulations and requirements in clinical settings; and ability to communicate with physicians and other healthcare personnel in a professional capacity.
3. Working knowledge of a significant body of scientific, biomedical concepts and terminology and medical concepts and terminology.

Compensation Range: $85,000-$95,000  annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on the candidate's experience, qualifications, skills, and other job-related factors. In addition to base salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, paid time off, and retirement benefits.
