Business Strategy Department (BSD) - Associate / Senior Associate

We are looking for an Associate or Senior Associate, Business Strategy for an established tanker shipowner company. This is a commercial coordination and business support role, offering exposure to chartering teams and colleagues various global offices. This opportunity would suit someone who enjoys being a go-to coordinator for commercial teams and is keen to learn how a global shipping business operates.

Responsibilities

• Support chartering teams with customer credit checks, KYC and due diligence processes.
• Respond to daily enquiries and guide colleagues on internal policies, procedures and approvals.
• Coordinate with Finance, Legal, Compliance and other departments to resolve enquiries and keep processes moving.
• Assist with customer information requests and commercial support matters.
• Work with overseas offices to share information and coordinate activities.
• Support commercial meetings, projects, budgeting, forecasting and performance reporting when required.

Requirements

• Diploma or degree in a relevant field.
• Strong communication, relationship-building and organisational skills.
• Comfortable handling several enquiries at once and explaining processes clearly.
• Good Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
• Shipping experience is an advantage, but candidates from other industries with relevant commercial support experience are welcome.
