Collins Aerospace is seeking a Senior Engineer to join the LS Digital team.  This role is responsible for developing architecture, transformations, analyses, and visualizations for W&B Carbon process, product, and performance data.

What You Will Do:

• Partners with Carbon engineering and Carbon manufacturing teams to identify digital use cases and develop a project roadmap
• Develops code within Databricks to transform, analyze, and visualize carbon data to support RCCA investigations and other use cases 
• Acts as a carbon data steward helping the Collins Data Quality and Governance teams develop rulesets for data governance
• Partners with the other LS Digital teams to build or leverage lifecycle data applications, the digital thread, digital design processes, and other W&B data analytics methods
• Responsible for identifying data gaps and leveraging CORE processes and tools to identify opportunities for CI where possible
• Attends daily tag-ups and participates in the Agile project management process using tools like Jira, Confluence, and others as needed

Qualifications You Must Have: 

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
• Experience in aircraft W&B engineering with knowledge of C-C manufacturing

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Experience with carbon manufacturing processes
• Experience in Data Science or Statistics or Engineering 
• Python experience
• SQL querying experience
• Experience with graph databases, sematic layers, and data ontologies
• Experience with Git or similar software revision control best practices
• Understanding of software development/engineering lifecycle from concept to delivery
• Experience with Agile tools such as Jira and Confluence

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
