Senior Software Engineer, Top Secret/SCI w/Poly

Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Annapolis Junction, MD.

 

This team supports two web applications used to manage collection initiatives, track signal analysis workflows, and maintain signal reference knowledge across the Agency and its mission partners. These applications serve as key reference knowledge bases for signal and protocol parametric information.

 

The applications enable users across the Intelligence Community (IC) to search, update, and share records, allowing users to collaborate and pool their knowledge to support the broader mission community.

 

What You’ll Do

• Support TTO production environments, including security and application management activities.
• Design, implement, and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines to support application builds, testing, and deployment processes.
• Coordinate and support application deployments across environments.
• Maintain and support containerized applications using Podman.
• Implement and manage automated application testing to improve application quality and reliability.
• Maintain Apache Tomcat servers and the applications deployed within the Tomcat environment.
• Support application infrastructure and deployment activities across AWS and Kubernetes environments.
• Troubleshoot application, infrastructure, and deployment issues within Linux-based environments.

Qualifications

• Twenty (20) years of experience as a Software Engineer (SWE) supporting programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Four (4) years of additional Software Engineering experience on projects utilizing similar software development processes may be substituted for the Bachelor’s degree.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience with Podman and containerized application environments.
• Experience with GitLab and GitLab Runners.
• Strong proficiency and hands-on experience with Linux.
• Experience developing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Docker and container technologies.
• Experience working with AWS cloud environments.
• Experience with Kubernetes.
• Experience administering and supporting Apache Tomcat and applications deployed on Tomcat.

Target Salary Range

$176,000 - $282,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
