The Front Desk Agent is responsible for providing exceptional guest service while managing the daily operations of the hotel front desk. This role serves as the first point of contact for guests and plays a key part in creating a positive and welcoming experience throughout the guest’s stay. The Front Desk Agent ensures efficient check-in and check-out procedures, maintains accurate records, and communicates effectively with other hotel departments to support overall operations.
Key Responsibilities
• Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner upon arrival and throughout their stay.
• Complete guest check-in and check-out procedures accurately and efficiently.
• Provide information regarding hotel services, amenities, policies, and local attractions.
• Respond to guest inquiries, requests, and concerns promptly and professionally, escalating issues to management when necessary.
• Process reservations, cancellations, and modifications in the hotel’s property management system.
• Verify guest information, identification, and payment methods according to hotel procedures.
• Process payments and maintain accurate financial transactions, including balancing cash drawers when required.
• Coordinate with housekeeping to ensure guest rooms are ready and available for check-in.
• Communicate effectively with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments regarding guest needs and service requests.
• Answer and direct incoming phone calls in a professional and courteous manner.
• Maintain accurate guest records and update reservation information as needed.
• Ensure the front desk area remains clean, organized, and professional at all times.
• Prepare and communicate shift reports and important information to the next shift.
• Follow all Sandman Hotel policies, procedures, and service standards.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support hotel operations.
