Description
Our mission is to deliver clean, affordable energy for all. Rolls-Royce SMR is leading the way in Small Modular Reactor technology, developing a British solution to a global energy challenge.
As we transition from design into delivery, we're expanding our Commercial Supply Chain team and are looking for Senior Commercial Managers to play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering our supply chain commercial strategy.
These positions sit within our key portfolio areas, and the vacancies are currently for 6 x Senior Commercial Managers for:
Production Services;
Site Works;
Reactor & Nuclear Equipment;
Major Equipment, Balance of Plant & General Supplies;
EC&I, or
Power Generation
and will report directly to the relevant Head of Commercial.
This is an opportunity to negotiate and manage strategically important supplier agreements, lead commercial teams, influence major business decisions and help establish the commercial foundations that will support the deployment of our first power plants and future fleet growth.
We'll need you to:
- Influence the creation and delivery of commercial strategy for your portfolio area.
- Lead commercial negotiations with Strategic and Key Supply Chain partners,
- Negotiate, draft, execute and manage complex, high-value contracts and ensure delivery in line with programme schedules and business objectives
- Drive robust risk allocation, governance and value creation across commercial arrangements.
- Shape and implement innovative commercial models and contracting approaches and contribute to the ongoing development of commercial governance, processes, policies, templates and training.
- Provide commercial advice and guidance to senior stakeholders across the organisation.
You'll bring:
Significant commercial and contracting experience negotiating and managing complex, high-value contracts within complex engineering, infrastructure, energy, defence, aerospace, manufacturing or similarly regulated environments.
Experience leading and developing commercial teams, and developing and implementing commercial strategies.
Strong commercial risk management and problem-solving capability.
Knowledge of recognised contract forms such as NEC, FIDIC, JCT, IChemE or similar frameworks.
Location & Ways of Working

The salary for this role is £75,400 – £93,187, dependent on the skills, experience and value you bring. You'll also receive:
