The Role
Position: Account Executive (Non-Union)
Division: Sales
Manager: Greg Gibeault
Location: Multiple Locations
At ISM, we partner with industry leaders to design, build, manage, and modernize mission-critical technology environments. We combine deep technical expertise with a people-first culture, ensuring our clients and our employees are set up for long-term success. Backed by Kyndryl, ISM offers the scale, credibility, and resources of a global organization with the agility of a focused, client-centric team.
Are you driven by impact — the kind that comes from owning meaningful client relationships and shaping outcomes that endure? As an Account Executive at ISM, you will have overall ownership and accountability for one or more strategic client relationships. This role is focused on driving sustainable growth within assigned accounts, while also building trusted partnerships and ensuring a strong, consistent client experience.
You will serve as the primary point of accountability for the client relationship — balancing commercial growth, financial performance, and customer satisfaction. You will work closely with delivery leaders and internal partners to ensure alignment across pursuits, contracts, and outcomes, and to maintain confidence and trust as the relationship evolves. You will also play a visible leadership role in shaping client strategy and representing ISM across both the client and internal ecosystem.
If you thrive in complex client environments and executive-level engagement, this role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful, long-term impact.
This is a non‑union role subject to regular business working conditions, and involves travel to customer sites as needed.
NOTE: the preferred work location for this position is Saskatchewan, Alberta, Manitoba or Ontario, and will be dependent upon the location of the successful candidate.
Responsibilities:
Own and lead the end-to-end client relationship for assigned accounts, including growth, retention, customer satisfaction, and profitability (P&L)
Develop and execute account growth and retention plans, driving proactive growth through renewals, expanded scope, and new offerings aligned to client strategies
Build and maintain strong executive-level relationships, serving as a trusted advisor to business and IT leaders
Develop a deep understanding of client vision and priorities to identify, shape, and advance complex opportunities within client organizations
Lead consultative discussions that connect ISM services to measurable business outcomes
Position ISM as a strategic partner, not simply a technology or service provider
Lead and support proposals, pricing strategies, and client presentations
Partner with delivery and internal teams to ensure alignment between contractual commitments, services delivered, and the client experience
Provide senior-level oversight across the client lifecycle, addressing risks or escalations as needed to maintain confidence and momentum
Lead pipeline development, opportunity prioritization, and forecasting for assigned accounts
Ensure strong governance, contractual compliance, and ethical account leadership
Act as the voice of the customer while balancing ISM’s commercial and operational priorities
Influence and lead cross-functional teams through credibility, collaboration, and accountability
Contribute to continuous improvement of ISM’s account management and client engagement practices
Who You Are
Qualifications:
Significant experience in senior account management, client partnership, or consulting roles, preferably in the IT services industry
Degree from an accredited university or college, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Proven success owning strategic, multi-stakeholder accounts in complex environments
Strong executive presence with the ability to engage Director, VP, and C-suite stakeholders
Demonstrated experience managing account P&L, including revenue growth, cost management, and profitability
A consultative and growth-oriented mindset, with the judgment to advise, influence, and challenge constructively
Strong business and financial acumen, with the ability to translate strategy into execution
Proven track record of driving account growth and ensuring customer satisfaction
Experience leading complex opportunities, renewals, and account expansions
Experience responding to RFPs and RFIs is an asset
Knowledge of IT services and related technology platforms is considered an asset
*Note: This role may involve working with technology that is covered by US and/or Canadian Embargo Export Regulations; therefore all applicants will be subject to additional security screening requirements.
