The Technician I assists in the assembly, wiring, and preparation of control panels and automation enclosures under close supervision. Responsibilities include basic wiring, component labeling, continuity checks, documentation updates, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. This role focuses on building foundational panel assembly and technical skills.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Evaluate business and operational processes for opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and consistency.
- Identify recurring problems, rework, equipment failures, customer concerns, and process gaps.
- Lead or assist with root cause investigations and corrective actions.
- Work with department leaders to develop and implement practical process improvements.
- Help develop and maintain company procedures, workmanship expectations, and operational standards.
- Follow up on completed work and major projects to identify lessons learned and opportunities for improvement.
- Engage with customers to gather feedback on equipment, service, communication, and overall experience.
- Help resolve significant or recurring customer quality concerns.
- Identify unmet customer needs and potential opportunities for new products, services, rental offerings, or capabilities.
- Improve coordination and handoffs between Sales, Engineering, Shop, Inventory, Rentals, PLC/Controls, and Field Services.
- Monitor quality and operational trends and communicate significant findings and recommendations to leadership.
- Support the continued development of Sable Automation's Operations and Quality Management Systems.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional management experience.
- WMS/SAP knowledge.
- Communication skills, both oral and written.
- Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Ability to motivate and influence people.
- Organizing, planning, and problem solving skills.
- Team player with good statistical and numerical ability and attention to detail.
