Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Water Resources Engineer to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional to develop practical expertise in water resources engineering while working under the mentorship of experienced senior staff. You will contribute to meaningful projects that involve design analysis, site inspections, and technical documentation while building a strong foundation in engineering practices and company operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply standard engineering techniques and practices to perform sequences of related technical tasks
- Conduct routine analyses and testing, preparing summaries and reports for review by senior staff
- Participate in field activities, including site visits and construction inspections
- Maintain accurate documentation and data logs from job sites and client locations
- Analyze laboratory data and compose detailed reports that summarize findings
- Perform calculations, develop input for plans and specifications, and compile historical records
- Present technical information clearly in one-on-one and small group settings
- Refer complex or non-routine technical issues to more experienced staff for guidance and resolution
- Participate in studies, analyses, and data collection under senior supervision to build broader experience
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or environmental engineering
- Basic proficiency with Computer Aided Design (CAD) software or introductory-level experience
- Strong reasoning and analytical ability
- Ability to write clear, professional reports and correspondence
- Effective communication and presentation skills, especially in technical settings
- EIT (Engineer-In-Training) certification or active pursuit of the credential
- Hands-on experience with Civil 3D (AutoCAD) or similar design software
- Familiarity with water resources analysis and modeling
- Experience in field-based engineering work or site inspections
