Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time in Olathe, KS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Security Professional at a logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry and exit points, verify access credentials, monitor activity, and support a secure environment for employees, visitors, and operations. Your visible presence, clear communication, and customer service will help deter security-related incidents. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points at a logistics and distribution location, verify credentials and authorization, maintain visitor and driver logs, and direct authorized individuals to appropriate areas.
• Control entry and exit for personnel, vehicles, trailers, and contractors in accordance with facility procedures, helping to deter unauthorized access.
• Respond to access-control incidents, alarm activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate contacts and complete required documentation.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, trailer yards, and the business perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
