Overnight Healthcare Coordinator - Hybrid
Location: Hybrid – Kansas City, MO
Job Type: Full-Time
Compensation: $23.82 / hour with overtime pay.
Hours/Schedule: 6:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m. | Rotating 3-4 shifts per week | Every other weekend
As an Overnight Healthcare Coordinator, you'll use attention to detail, empathy, and problem-solving skills to help make sight restoration possible for transplant recipients. Every shift combines medical record review, case coordination, decision making, and compassionate conversations with families during critical moments.
This role is ideal for professionals who enjoy overnight work and want to make a meaningful impact in their community.
What You'll Do:
- Guide donor families through the donation process with empathy and professionalism.
- Review medical records, health histories, and eligibility criteria to determine donor suitability.
- Communicate with hospitals, healthcare providers, funeral homes, and medical examiner offices to gather information and coordinate services.
- Dispatch and support Recovery Technicians throughout the donation process.
- Manage multiple active cases while maintaining attention to detail and compliance standards.
- Make informed decisions in time-sensitive situations while balancing changing priorities.

- Cases require strong judgment, adaptability, and attention to detail.
- You'll regularly balance multiple active priorities and time-sensitive deadlines.
- Donation services operate 24/7, including weekends and holidays.

- Remains calm, focused, and professional during critical situations.
- Has strong communication and active listening skills.
- Is comfortable navigating electronic records, phone systems, databases, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Thrives in overnight environments where independent decision-making is essential.
- Demonstrates empathy while maintaining professionalism during difficult conversations.
- Enjoys coordinating people, information, and resources to achieve successful outcomes.
Healthcare, dispatch, scheduling, emergency communications, crime scene investigation, claims, customer service, call center, patient services, and care coordination experience are all highly valued.
