Position Summary
GFL Environmental Services is seeking a proactive, highly organized, and strategic Executive Assistant to provide high-level support to our Senior Leadership team. In this role, you will serve as a primary operational partner and extension of our executive leaders, ensuring optimal time management, seamless daily operations, and clear communication across internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, possesses exceptional communication skills, and exercises impeccable discretion.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
Manage and optimize calendars, strategically prioritizing requests and resolving scheduling conflicts.
Draft, edit, and proofread executive-level communications, presentations, and reports.
Coordinate end-to-end travel logistics, including itineraries, accommodation, and expense reporting.
Prepare and create relevant materials (i.e. documents, reports, presentations).
Act as the primary gatekeeper and bridge for smooth communication with internal and external partners.
Organize key meetings, offsites, and events, including agenda preparation, minute-taking, and action-item tracking.
Handle sensitive and confidential company information with strict professionalism and privacy.
Perform a broad variety of administrative and project management tasks.
Other duties as assigned.
Experience and Qualifications
5+ years of administrative support experience, with at least 2–3 years supporting senior or C-suite executives.
Excellent computer skills and proficiency in Google Workspace and travel/expense management software systems.
Familiarity with basic financial workflows (budget tracking, expenses, invoicing).
Prior experience in the environmental or oil and gas industry is considered an asset
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
