Responsibilities

The Student Nurse – Nursing Assistant (SN-NA) in the Med / Surg / Telemetry Department is an unlicensed assistive person who assists with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to non-critical patients and assists in maintenance of a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit. The SN-NA is actively enrolled in a nursing program.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

 

1.    Successfully completed the first semester of a nursing program.

2.    Must be in good academic standing with a minimum GPA 3.0, and maintained while holding position.

3.    Current BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.

4.    Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology. 

5.    Are not N-CLEX eligible or hold an RN license.

6.    Approved for consideration by faculty teaching fundamentals (basic nursing skills) and/or Dean of Nursing school.

Pay Transparency

San Dimas Community Hospital offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $23.00. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
