Registered Nurse

Akicita Federal is hiring Registered Nurses (RNs) to deliver direct patient care and clinical support services for the Dayton VA Medical Center in Dayton, Ohio. In this role, you will serve Veterans receiving care at one of the country's most respected VA facilities, working alongside a dedicated interdisciplinary team committed to Veteran health and wellness. - Provide comprehensive nursing care to Veterans across assigned clinical areas, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of patient outcomes

- Administer medications, treatments, and therapeutic procedures in accordance with physician orders and established clinical protocols

- Monitor and document patient conditions, vital signs, and responses to treatment accurately in the electronic health record

- Coordinate with physicians, specialists, and other members of the care team to ensure continuity and quality of patient care

- Educate patients and their families on diagnoses, treatment plans, discharge instructions, and health maintenance strategies

- Respond to urgent and emergent patient situations, initiating appropriate interventions and escalating care as needed

- Maintain compliance with VA policies, Joint Commission standards, and applicable federal regulations governing patient care and safety
