Lock and Key Services Project Coordinator

Detailed Job Description:

Manages and oversees projects which include electronic access control and related electronic and mechanical door hardware security equipment located within and around campus buildings including but not limited to card readers, electronic devices, security devices, door replacements, frames, locking hardware, ancillary hardware, keys and cores. Manages supervises and coordinates on-going/new buildings, renovation and repair projects through the entire project life cycle including but not limited to budget/estimating scheduling planning/design construction and closeout phases. Skillfully navigates a wide range of tasks and responsibilities to successfully deliver projects on schedule with a high level of customer service and communication monitors construction timeline to ensure schedule and budget remain on track works actively with other areas of the University to ensure project work/communication is distributed to all parties involved. Retains the ability the make decisions to the direction of the project. Assures all contract work follows building design standards tracks all associated documentation provides status and prioritized reports provides technical consultation to other FOD staff (including the Wexner Medical Center) working hours of 7:30 am to 4:30 pm in the Central Service Building, Lock & Key Services but is subject to changes in shift hours days and/or location as operations dictate.  Subject to 24-hour emergency call. In accordance with the Disaster Preparedness and University State of Emergency Policy 6.17 this position has been designated as a standby position.

Minimum Education Requirement:

Bachelor's Level Degree or equivalent education and experience.

Experience:

REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • 2 or more years applicable experience
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Knowledge of basic electricity and basic security system installation
  • Ability to understand and interpret drawings and specification reading

DESIRED:

  • Experience with CMS and OSU building Design Standards, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe products
  • Experience with Lenel OnGuard and Alarm Monitoring
  • Basic understanding of how mechanical/electrical locks and SFIC master key systems work
  • Knowledge of estimating
  • Good communication skills and the ability to prioritize tasks accordingly

Additional Information:

The target hiring range for this job profile is $28.22 - $37.12 per hour.
