Position Overview:

POSITION TITLE: Solutions Architect
POSITION DUTIES: Advises strategic direction while providing leadership for the design, engineering, and implementation for consolidating, standardizing infrastructure and developing applications. Interprets architecture requirements, design, product evaluations, selection, build, and integration of new technology to support Sutter Health objectives. Develops enterprise infrastructure, data management, and application technology strategies, standards, and solution architecture. May oversee software, hardware and infrastructure design. Owns Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), continual integration process and tools, and integration strategies to deliver finished, high quality, and compelling products. Lastly, may lead Information Services (IS) systems engineering projects through collaboration, coordination, and implementation across multiple teams. May telecommute.

Job Description:

Education Requirement: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Applications, Computer Science,  Computer Engineering or a related field.  

Experience Requirement: 8 years of experience in software application integration, enterprise data management, or related field

Specific Requirements:  

Ensuring the appropriate business process assessment and analysis is completed to identify potential gaps that may impact the deployment and support of a potential enterprise wide IS solutions;  Collaborating with key stakeholders to define and document the business needs; Influencing the business and enterprise by demonstrating a clear understanding of business needs and the technologies that can be used to appropriately accommodate requirements; Designing and validating technical solutions to meet business requirements via configuring and testing hardware including procurement, testing, and guiding deployment of approved infrastructure and software design; Developing, maintaining, and owning the technical product roadmap; Documenting the design concepts for new technologies as well as develop and document the decisive conceptual design for integration and implementation of proposed solution; Ensuring new deployments and changes to technology configurations are aligned with current standards where appropriate as well as provide direction and support for complex, cross-functional projects; Facilitating the formal enterprise architecture processes and procedures; Utilizing standard techniques and tools to gather business and technical requirements in an organized and repeatable manner; Formulating state-of-the-art enterprise strategic architecture framework plans;  Engineering, implementation, operation, maintenance, and support of a wide range of server and storage platforms;  Comparing and evaluating the design and capabilities of multiple system components; Identifying new solutions for delivering services to clients; Staying informed on emerging products, services, trends, development methodologies, and standards available to support software solutions or data management; and Visualization technologies.          

RATE OF PAY:                    $66.77 to $100.16 per hour

Pay Range is $142,105.60 to $213,158.40 / annual salary

The compensation range may vary based on the geographic location where the position is filled. Total compensation considers multiple factors, including, but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, departmental equity, training, and organizational needs. Base pay is only one component of Sutter Health’s comprehensive total rewards program. Eligible positions also include a comprehensive benefits package.
