Position Summary

We are seeking a Senior Director, Business Systems to lead the technology strategy and portfolio supporting critical enterprise business functions, including Human Resources, Contracts, Compliance/Speak Up, and Facilities.

This role will serve as a strategic technology partner to business leaders, translating business priorities into modern, scalable technology solutions. The Senior Director will own the strategy, roadmap, delivery, integration, and ongoing evolution of these platforms while driving simplification, automation, strong governance, and an exceptional user experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute multi-year technology strategies and roadmaps across HR, Contracts, Compliance/Speak Up, and Facilities.
• Serve as a trusted technology advisor to senior business leaders, connecting business strategy with technology capabilities and investment priorities.
• Lead modernization and simplification of the application portfolio, reducing complexity and technical debt while increasing business value.
• Oversee major system implementations, integrations, upgrades, and transformation initiatives.
• Drive opportunities for automation, AI, analytics, and self-service to improve business processes and employee experiences.
• Establish strong portfolio governance across demand, prioritization, architecture, delivery, security, lifecycle management, and investment.
• Partner across Technology, HR, Legal, Compliance, Finance, Procurement, Facilities, Security, and other enterprise functions.
• Manage strategic technology vendors and partners, ensuring strong performance, cost effectiveness, and accountability.
• Lead portfolio budgeting, forecasting, licensing, and technology investment decisions.
• Build and develop a high-performing team, creating a culture of collaboration, innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Business, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• 10+ years leading teams and/or enterprise programs, including setting strategy, defining metrics, managing budgets, and driving execution across multiple stakeholders.
• Significant progressive experience leading enterprise technology, business applications, or digital platforms.
• Demonstrated success managing complex technology portfolios and large-scale transformation initiatives.
• Strong experience developing technology strategies and roadmaps in partnership with senior business leaders.
• Experience with enterprise SaaS platforms, integrations, data, security, architecture, and application lifecycle management.
• Strong financial, vendor, portfolio, and people leadership capabilities.
• Excellent executive communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting technology portfolios across HR, Legal/Contracts, Compliance/Ethics, Real Estate, or Facilities.
• Experience modernizing enterprise application portfolios and simplifying legacy environments.
• Experience leveraging AI, workflow automation, analytics, and emerging technologies to transform business processes.
• Experience operating within a complex, highly regulated enterprise environment.

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. $181,500 - $302,500
