Our client, an award-winning global architecture and design firm, is looking for a Senior Architect to help grow its Healthcare and Corporate Interiors practice in New York. Projects range from strategic tenant improvements to complex corporate campuses, with a focus on key accounts and repeat-client relationships.

You'll be the bridge between design vision and built execution. That means bringing technical leadership, code-aware detailing, consultant coordination and sound construction administration judgment to deliver highly coordinated, high-quality interiors for sophisticated corporate clients. The work includes both new buildings and alterations to existing buildings and facilities.

 

The role :

• Provide technical leadership to the team, clients, consultants and contractors from early design through CA
• Work with clients to define objectives, develop options and explain technical implications clearly
• Translate design concepts into buildable, code-compliant construction systems while protecting design intent
• Lead the development of contract documents, including coordinated drawings, interior details and QA/QC review
• Coordinate architects, engineers, specialty consultants and internal disciplines
• Manage construction administration, including RFIs, submittals, site observations and punch walks
• Mentor team members on documentation standards, Revit workflows, detailing and CA practices
• Contribute to presentations and strategic pursuits

 

What we're looking for:

• 8–12+ years of experience in interiors or architecture
• Experience on corporate workplace, tenant improvement, headquarters, campus or complex interiors projects
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture or a related discipline
• Advanced Revit/BIM skills
• Strong knowledge of interior documentation, detailing, accessibility, egress and life safety
• Proven ability to coordinate consultants and disciplines on complex, schedule-driven projects
• Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail
• Able to travel when projects require

 

Architectural licensure (or actively pursuing), LEED, WELL or similar accreditation, and experience with AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite and Bluebeam are desirable.
