Role Description

The Presales Manager is a full time, on site role based in Mumbai. This person will be the technical voice of Lexlegis.ai in front of customers, and will lead a team of Solution Engineers.

The role is measured on one number: technical win rate across every segment, demo, proof of concept and RFP.

The Presales Manager will lead presales end to end, from lead qualification to final technical sign off. This includes partnering with the sales team to understand client needs, designing tailored demonstrations, and delivering compelling presentations to General Counsels, Knowledge Management Heads, Tax Heads, IT and InfoSec teams, and government and court officers.

Day to day responsibilities include:

• Running proofs of concept with clear success criteria agreed up front, so that each engagement ends in a decision
• Owning enterprise RFPs, technical tender responses, and security and DPDP questionnaires
• Building solution narratives, demo scenarios and technical commercial proposals
• Supporting integration planning for new clients, including APIs and data flows between client systems and the Lexlegis.ai platform
• Creating a standard demo library and segment specific scripts for enterprises, tax teams, law firms and government
• Conducting workshops and providing strategic input on deal strategy and positioning
• Training the team on the product, competitive positioning and objection handling
• Routing qualified leads to field sales and working with them through to closure
• Bringing customer feedback and product gaps to the Product team, ranked by priority and backed by real deal context, to help shape the roadmap

Qualifications

• 7 to 9 years of experience in presales or solution consulting, ideally in SaaS, LegalTech, analytics or AI search
• At least 2 years of experience leading a small Solution Engineering team
• Strong consulting and presales skills, including requirements discovery, solution design and stakeholder engagement
• Sales related skills such as opportunity qualification, proposal support and close collaboration with account executives
• Direct ownership of enterprise RFPs and InfoSec responses, not only contribution to them
• Project management skills, including planning and coordinating presales activities and managing timelines for demos and proofs of concept
• Integration related skills, including an understanding of technical architectures, APIs and data flows
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with a knack for demo storytelling and the ability to explain complex legal tech solutions to both technical and non technical audiences
• Clear, persuasive writing skills
• Ability to work cross functionally with product, engineering and customer success teams in a fast paced environment
• A graduate degree in any discipline; a degree in business, law or technology is an advantage

Good to Have

• Experience demoing LLM or RAG based research products
• A law degree or CA qualification. We especially welcome lawyers and Chartered Accountants who have moved into solution consulting
• Experience in legal, tax, compliance or enterprise SaaS domains
