Purpose

Responsible for safely loading, unloading and moving materials in the plant.

Responsibilities

· Operates hand truck or various truck from our fleet of trucks (fork, reach, picker) to move or convey shipments

·  Assembles finished goods orders and loads shipments based on established standard operating procedures

·  Prepares skids:  straps, stretch wraps, weighs

·  Receives incoming shipments based on established standard operating procedures

·  Prints and pulls warehouse transfers and orders

·  Receives, inspects and stores merchandise or materials

·  Executes all aspects of shipping orders and receiving product from outside vendors

·  Restocks corrugated and production’s needs

·  Works with Production and Customer Service departments

·  Assembles loads for other facilities as needed

·  Assists in training of new employees

·  Supports & complies with safety guidelines

·  Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

·  Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

·  Good English writing & speaking skills

·   Basic math skills

·   Ability to work independently

·   Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively

·   Basic computer systems knowledge

Physical Demands

·       Regularly required to stand and communicate

·       Ability to see and hear

·       Occasionally required to stretch, bend, climb or balance

·       Often required to lift and/or move up to 35 lbs.

·       Frequently required to lift 5 to 35 pounds

·       Communicate with management as required
