Management Level:
P4Summary: The Senior Benefits Specialist is an integral part of the Total Rewards Global Benefits Team. Position is responsible for assisting the Director of Benefits with the overall management and administration of the Company’s H&W benefits and retirement/savings plans.
This position will also provide day-to-day support on benefits and retirement activities while ensuring a consistent application of the Company’s benefit policies and practices.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Partner with Director and VP of Benefits on the development, implementation and management of all benefits and retirement programs.
- Creating and presenting data analytics reports.
- Familiarity with Pharmaceutical plans and vendor coordination.
- Develop, streamline, and document procedures for ongoing administrative tasks.
- Provide support on executing all benefit and retirement compliance requirements including annual ERISA Plan Audits, annual government disclosures/filings, Summary Plan Descriptions, SOX audits of benefit plans, non-discrimination testing and determination of highly compensated employees. This includes responsibility for understanding and ensuring compliance in the plan administration function with all applicable federal and state laws such as ACA, ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA and the Internal Revenue Code.
- Provide Tier 3 support to resolve issues related to H&W and funding process ensuring funds are timely and accurately posted into participant’s account.
- Play lead role with benefit and retirement projects, and assist with running reports from payroll and the HRIS to assist with benefit plan administration
- Partner with Director and VP of Benefits and other members of the Benefits team to identify opportunities to increase the effectiveness of the overall administration of benefit and retirement/savings programs.
- Work in partnership with benefits team during implementation of new vendors, plans or changes to existing group health programs.
- Provide support with special projects, including seasonal campaigns, mergers and acquisitions.
- Provide support on H&W related team member escalations
- Engage in vendor management for subset of H&W vendors
- Support broader team in annual enrollment work
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in related field is required.
Experience: 3+ years of HR experience in H&W. Knowledge of Pharmacy plans preferred. Experience in a multinational manufacturing or retail environment preferred.
Communication: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
Computer Skills: Expertise in Microsoft Office Tools, such as Excel, and proficiency in HR reporting tools.
Special Skills: Project Management, Detail Oriented, Multitasking, Relationship Building, Collaboration, and Creative Analytical.
Supervisory: This position will not have direct reports.
Travel: Limited travel may be needed.
