Job Description Summary

The APAC Operational Leader, Onshore Wind, is responsible for operational governance, project execution pacing, regional project controls, and delivery discipline across the Asia project portfolio. This role is part of the Onshore Wind APAC leadership team and will contribute to regional leadership, governance and execution priorities across the APAC portfolio.
The APAC Operational Leader will work across multiple countries and functions to ensure projects are launched, executed, monitored and closed in accordance with business, customer, contractual and global operational requirements. The role will provide leadership across regional operating rhythms, schedule and cost governance, cross-functional coordination, issue escalation and execution support, with scope that may include specialist functional coordination such as grid, quality or other regional delivery support areas.
The role requires high levels of operational judgement, safety leadership, stakeholder influence, commercial discipline and regional coordination to improve execution predictability, support timely decision making and enable successful project outcomes across Asia.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for regional operational governance, execution pacing, project controls and delivery discipline across APAC Onshore Wind projects.
  • Lead regional operating rhythms across the project portfolio, including schedule, cost, issue, action and escalation management. Driving consistancy across projects and countries.
  • Ensure projects are launched and executed in accordance with global standards, with clear planning, cost, reporting and governance processes established from the start.
  • Coordinate regional functional support as required, including specialist areas such as grid, quality or other execution support functions, to enable project delivery and customer commitments.
  • Drive execution and operational excellence on project delivery commitments to customers and the business, with a strong focus on safety, compliance and integrity.
  • Review project schedules, cost analytics, operational dashboards and execution indicators to ensure accurate reporting of status, priorities and required actions.
  • Lead Lean and continuous improvement focus across APAC projects, coordinating regional initiatives and arranging APAC representation for relevant global activities.
  • Partner cross functionally to resolve issues and improve execution performance.
  • Develop regional capability, build execution discipline and support succession depth across project controls and operational support functions.

Required Qualifications

  • Significant experience in Project Management, Project Controls, Operations, or related functional support areas. Knowledge level is comparable to a Master’s degree from an accredited university or college, or a high school diploma with relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting project execution governance, schedule performance, cost control, customer commitments and cross-functional stakeholder alignment.
  • Strong working knowledge of project controls, cost forecasting, scheduling, project governance and operational execution processes.
  • Experience coordinating specialist functional inputs or regional support resources in a matrix organisation to support project delivery outcomes.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in a matrix organisation, including direct and indirect leadership of professional teams across countries and functions.
  • Experience in onshore wind, power generation, infrastructure, construction, energy or other technically complex project environments.

  • Significant experience leading complex regional project or operational portfolios across multiple countries, preferably within Asia.
