Description
Summary:
Journal Register Offset is looking for a full-time evening/night shift Maintenance Mechanic for our newspaper printing and inserting facility.
Working hours are 6:00 PM–2:00 AM, 7:00 PM–3:00 AM, or 8:00 PM–4:00 AM, with Sunday and Monday off.
What you will do:
Perform mechanical and electrical repairs on various printing, inserting, packaging, and warehouse equipment
Interface with operators and supervisors regarding production and equipment issues
Assist operators in diagnosing and repairing equipment issues
Conduct minor building repairs as needed
What you will bring:
Two years of experience working in a manufacturing environment or another mechanical/electrical trade is preferred
Ability to use hand and power tools
Understanding of mechanical drawings
Experience using electrical schematics is a plus
Benefits and Compensation:
The hourly range is $18.00 - $26.00 + one time sign on bonus.
