Description
Business Innovation LATAM exists to turn bold ideas into lasting, profitable growth for our doctors and for Align. We are the engine and the orchestrator: we source opportunities, build the fact base, test them in market, and hand the ones that work over to the business to scale.
As Manager, Business Innovation for Chile and Colombia, you will own a portfolio of initiatives across our two direct markets in Spanish speaking Latin America. You will take each one from a loosely defined problem through structured assessment, business case, in market pilot and operational handover.
This is a mix of strategy and execution role. You will earn your influence through preparation, clarity, credibility and the quality of your work. You will sit on the Chile and Colombia leadership teams and work directly with both country General Managers.
In this role, you will…
- Own the Chile and Colombia innovation portfolio end to end, from problem definition through pilot to operational handover.
- Identify and frame business problems and opportunities in both markets, and translate them into testable hypotheses.
- Build strategic assessments and business cases with rigorous assumptions, clear economics and honest risk framing.
- Design, launch and run in market pilots, including scope, timeline, success metrics and measurement plan.
- Decide on evidence. Recommend scaling, pivoting, pausing or killing initiatives based on what the data shows.
- Bring the right stakeholders to the table at the right time.
- Prepare and present recommendations to country leadership teams and to the LATAM Business Innovation steering committee.
- Manage initiatives through our governance model, meeting the gate criteria and deliverables at each stage.
- Lead the handover of successful pilots to the business owners who will scale and run them.
- Contribute to strengthening our innovation operating system.
For this role, you'll need...
- 6 to 10 years of experience, with meaningful time in operational or implementation consulting, business transformation, or another project driven environment with real delivery ownership.
- A demonstrated track record of taking projects from problem definition all the way to implementation, not only to recommendation.
- Structured problem solving. You can take an ambiguous situation, frame it, size it and decide where to focus.
- Hypothesis driven mindset. You are comfortable designing a test, defining what would prove or disprove it, and acting on the answer.
- Outstanding stakeholder management across countries, functions and seniority levels.
- Proven ability to influence without authority and to build alignment through credibility rather than mandate.
- Excellent written and verbal communication. You simplify complexity and make senior audiences comfortable making decisions.
- Senior posture and executive presence. Composed under pressure, direct when it matters, and able to challenge constructively.
- Results driven with genuine care for the how. You deliver outcomes without cutting corners on rigor, process or quality.
- Strong attention to detail across numbers, assumptions, documentation and follow through.
- Fluent Spanish and English.
- Based in Bogotá and able to work five days per week in the office.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working across both Chile and Colombia, or across multiple Latin American markets.
- Exposure to medtech, healthcare, payments or financial services.
- Certifications such as Lean Six Sigma, Agile, Scrum, Design Thinking, OKR or PMP.
- Postgraduate education in project management, strategy, innovation or a related field.
