Valet Supervisor
Location: Spreckels Theatre Garage – Downtown San Diego, CA Pay: $21.00–$23.00 per hour + tips Schedule: Full-Time
Garage Operating Hours: Monday–Friday: 7:00 AM–9:00 PM Saturday: 8:00 AM–4:30 PM Sunday: Closed
Availability: Must have flexible availability within the garage’s operating hours, including Saturdays as needed.
The Spirit of the Position
The Valet Supervisor supports the daily valet operation at Spreckels Theatre Garage and works closely with management to ensure a safe, efficient, and professional parking experience.
The Supervisor helps lead the valet team, coordinates daily operations, maintains excellent customer service standards, and ensures employees follow LAZ Parking procedures and safety expectations.
What Will I Do?
- Supervise daily valet operations and assist with coordinating employees throughout the shift.
- Ensure appropriate staffing coverage and coordinate employee breaks and lunches.
- Direct vehicle and pedestrian traffic to maintain a safe and organized operation.
- Provide excellent customer service and professionally assist with customer questions or concerns.
- Monitor employee performance and provide coaching and direction when needed.
- Assist with training new employees on valet procedures, customer service, and safety standards.
- Ensure employees follow company policies, appearance standards, attendance expectations, and operating procedures.
- Assist with shift reports, ticket controls, keys, and other daily operational documentation.
- Respond appropriately to customer complaints, vehicle concerns, incidents, and operational issues, escalating to management when necessary.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional valet area.
- Identify and immediately report safety hazards, accidents, or operational concerns.
- Work independently when necessary while maintaining communication with management and the team.
- Support the operation as needed during busy periods, special events, and staffing needs.

Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Valid Driver’s License held for a minimum of 2 years is required.
- Previous supervisory or team-lead experience preferred.
- Strong customer service experience required.
- Valet, parking, hospitality, or transportation experience preferred.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to safely operate a variety of vehicles.
- Ability to work independently and effectively lead a team.
- Basic computer and reporting skills preferred.
- Must be available to work within the garage’s operating hours, including Saturdays as needed.
Physical Demands
- Ability to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions, including heat, rain, and wind.
- Ability to stand, walk, and run for extended periods of time.
- Ability to frequently bend, stoop, squat, and reach.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull at least 25 pounds.
- Ability to enter and exit vehicles repeatedly throughout the shift.
