As the first point of contact for the office, the Receptionist will help ensure the workplace runs smoothly while providing valuable administrative support to the team.
Key Responsibilities
As the Receptionist, you will provide professional front-desk coverage and general administrative support while ensuring visitors, employees, and incoming requests are handled efficiently and professionally.
Front Desk & Visitor Support
- Welcome visitors and employees in a friendly, professional, and approachable manner while creating a positive first impression.
- Manage visitor access and assist individuals entering and navigating the office.
- Maintain a professional and organized reception area throughout the day.
Reception & Office Coordination
- Receive incoming packages and mail, ensuring items are appropriately organized and distributed.
- Monitor the shared reception inbox and respond to or redirect inquiries as appropriate.
- Assist with general office coordination and support day-to-day administrative requirements.
Administrative Support
- Complete general administrative tasks, including data entry, filing, scanning, and document organization.
- Assist with mail distribution and other office-related tasks as needed.
- Support the ordering and maintenance of office supplies to help ensure the office remains well organized and equipped.
Team Support
- Work collaboratively with office staff and provide additional administrative assistance where required.
- Learn the reception processes during the training period and provide reliable coverage throughout the assignment.
- Maintain a professional, positive, and service-oriented approach when interacting with employees, visitors, and external contacts.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, candidates should demonstrate:
Education & Experience:
- Previous experience in a receptionist, administrative, customer service, or similar office support role is preferred.
- A combination of relevant experience and skills will be considered; no specific diploma or degree is required.
- Experience working in a professional office environment is considered an asset.
Technical Skills:
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Outlook and managing email communications.
- Ability to complete general computer-based administrative tasks, including data entry and document management.

- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact confidently with a variety of people.
