The Clinical Systems Integration Specialist will be responsible for the rollout of integration between iKnowMed G2 and clinical practice's laboratory information systems (LIS). This position will be highly engaged with our customers for scoping, cleanup, configuration, testing and maintenance of laboratory system interfaces. This role will require the ability to multi-task and be able to work with multiple active projects running in parallel. This role will require the ability to speak fluently with laboratory technicians and laboratory vendors from medical practices to understand their current environments, lab tests, operations and lab codes: then be able to use this information in the implementation of new integrations. This role will require the ability to educate and train clinical practices on the use of mapping techniques and system integrations.
Key Responsibilities
Creating integration between iKnowMed G2 and practice laboratory information systems
Assisting practices in the cleanup of lab analytes and panels in iKnowMed G2
Work with USON clinical applications team and/or LIS vendors to assist practices in the cleanup of their LIS environment.
Monitor integration performance and troubleshoot issues to maintain operational continuity
Minimum Requirement
- Degree or equivalent and typically requires 4+ years of relevant experience.
Education
4-year degree in related field or equivalent experience
MLT, MLS or CLS required
Critical Skills
4+ years of experience working in a clinical laboratory
2+ years of experience working with laboratory information systems (e.g. Orchard, Labdaq)
Knowledge of HL7 interfaces
Knowledge of CLIA/CAP requirements
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
Ability to understand functional design specifications and technical requirements
Ability to work in team environment in the configuration and testing of system integrations
Strong communication skills (verbal, written and presentation skills)
Strong customer service skills
Additional Skills
Experience working in oncology environments
Experience working with iKnowMed G2 preferred
Experience working with hospital EHR's (Epic, Cerner, Allscripts)
Ability to assist in the creation of project plans
Travel
Up to 25% travel possible
This position offers the possibility of a hybrid work arrangement based on recent updates to our in-office/work‑from‑home model. If located in DFW area, the selected candidate may be expected to work on‑site at our Las Colinas office a minimum of two (2) days per week, with the remaining days worked remotely. Specific in‑office days may be designated according to team needs and business priorities.
