Warehouse Operator

We are a growing company in the Minot Area, one of the largest suppliers of value-added pulses, staple foods and food ingredients in the world is seeking Warehouse Operator to work in our busy production facility.

MAIN FUNCTIONS: The Warehouse Operator gets product that has been bagged and ready for shipping by using MI for the load. The Warehouse Operator loads bagged product from warehouse onto trucks or containers. The Warehouse Operator is primarily responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of assigned equipment and processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Organize warehouse to ease access and minimize wasted space.
• Ensure the stacking of pallets is safe and poses no safety hazards.
• Receive bagging supplies including bags, thread, pallets, slip sheets, cardboard, paper liners, and shrink wrap. Verify incoming supplies against the Bill of Lading.
• Avoid opening bundles to avoid contaminating bags.
• Pallets are kept in dry clean warehouse. Pallets showing protruding nails, broken wood or splinters are fixed or discarded.
• Safely operates Forklifts.
• Load trucks/containers in compliance with Food Safety regulations.
• Load trucks/containers in compliance with AGT Safety policies.
• Use I-Pad to document loading/unloading of truck or container.
• Load bagged product, handling bags with care and loading correctly.
• Check shipping containers and trailers for cleanliness and properly prepare prior to loading.
• Verify bag counts are correct and match the SI.
• Verify lot number matches the SI and product being loaded.
• Verify containers or trucks have been prepared as SI per instructions.
• Verify the product being loaded is labeled correctly.
• Responsible for good housekeeping practices in the warehouse area.
• Other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Completion of Qualification Card/s for designated area and/or other job position/s that may be assigned.
• Uphold a quality-conscious and food-safe culture.

COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read, write and interpret documents.
• Must be able to work any day and/or shift including weekends and holidays.
• Must have physical ability and strength to perform assigned tasks.
• Required to lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds, with a maximum distance required to carry 50 pounds up to 100 feet at least 50% of the time.
• Must be able to climb stairs and ladders.
• Must be able to work independently and/or as part of a team.
• Have the ability to perform all above tasks in an environment in cold or hot temperatures
