Description
The Performance Marketing team supporting Student Loan Originations is seeking a Media Operations Senior Manager to lead the technology, data, and operational capabilities that support effective marketing execution and measurement.
This role plays an important part in ensuring marketing decisions are supported by reliable data, well-managed technology platforms, and meaningful performance insights. From marketing automation and customer data platforms to tracking, attribution, analytics, and platform integrations, you'll help build and maintain the foundation that enables marketing teams to execute with confidence and continuously improve results.
Success requires the ability to balance technical expertise with business priorities, navigate complexity, and build trusted partnerships across functions. Working closely with Marketing, Product, Engineering, Data, Risk, Compliance, and external vendors, you'll help deliver scalable, compliant, and measurable solutions that support business growth and enhance the customer experience.
Marketing Technology Strategy & Management
- Own the marketing technology roadmap and ecosystem to support Partnerships, Email, SMS, Paid Digital Channels including Paid Search, Display, OTT, Audio, Paid Social, Direct Mail, and any future expansion channels.
- Serve as the primary owner of our enterprise ESP (Braze) - managing data inflows and outflows, CDP integration with Segment, and unsubscribe governance to ensure a best-in-class orchestration.
- Function as our end-to-end Ad Operations team - setting up event pass back to paid ad platforms via platforms including Segment and Google Tag Manager, installing and configuring tracking pixels.
- Develop scalable audience frameworks and activation strategies that enable personalized customer experience across all channels. This includes identifying activation and suppression criteria and validating data accuracy.
- Evaluate existing technology platforms and integrations.
- Identify opportunities to improve marketing process efficiency, measurement, personalization, and automation.
- Maintain governance and documentation for marketing technology systems and processes.
Tracking, Analytics & Measurement
- Own digital event tracking architecture and implementation including but not limited to UTM parameters and marketing tags.
- Ensure accurate collection of customer, campaign, and conversion data across website, online application and marketing channels.
- Partner with teams to support reporting, attribution, experimentation, and forecasting initiatives across Marketing, Product and Finance.
- Establish monitoring and validation processes to ensure tracking integrity.
Platform Administration & Integrations
- Manage integrations between marketing advertising platforms, analytics tools like Amplitude, and customer data platform Segment.
- Partner with Engineering and Product teams to define business requirements and implementation priorities.
- Support platform migrations, new technology implementations, and system enhancements.
- Coordinate vendor relationships and technical support escalations.
Marketing Operations & Enablement
- Support campaign execution through marketing automation and audience management platforms.
- Enable lifecycle marketing initiatives through customer segmentation and data activation.
- Develop scalable workflows and automation to improve team productivity.
- Ensure technology solutions effectively support acquisition, lifecycle, retention, and partner marketing programs.
Data Governance & Compliance
- Ensure marketing technology practices align with privacy, legal, compliance, and security requirements.
- Maintain data governance standards and documentation.
- Partner with Legal, Compliance, and Information Security teams on implementation reviews and risk assessments.
- Support audit and business continuity requirements as needed.
Incident Management & Quality Assurance
- Develop quality assurance processes for tag management, UTM parameters and marketing technology deployments.
- Lead investigation and resolution of tracking, attribution, and platform incidents.
- Establish post-implementation testing and monitoring standards.
- Document root cause analyses and preventative action plans.
- Bachelor's Degree
- 5+ years of experience governing enterprise ESPs and CDPs (Braze experience is a major plus), managing data inflows and outflows, and maintaining data hygiene.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience owning Ad Operations execution, including setting up pixel configurations, server-side tracking, and targeting parameters across a variety of channels (Search, Social, Display, OTT, etc). Exposure to AI/ML-driven marketing tools and personalization engines.
- Experience in financial services, fintech, or regulated environments in a marketing analytics, marketing channel management or ad operations role.
- Familiarity working with modern data stack (e.g. Snowflake, dbt, Looker, Hex , Segment).
- Vendor management and MarTech roadmap ownership experience.
- Advanced reporting using BI tools (Looker, Hex).
Preferred:
- Experience with Braze Liquid logic, Connected Content, and complex canvas/journey orchestration.
- Experience in highly regulated fields, such as financial services, that operate under limited targeting constraints.
- Familiarity working with modern data stack (e.g. Snowflake, dbt, Looker, Segment).
