SUMMARY OF DUTIES

Performs forklift responsibilities for the warehouse.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS PERFORMED

•    Operates manually controlled or powered forklift to transport parts and materials throughout the warehouse.
•    Receives and ships goods and materials.
•    Verifies paperwork against driver logs and parts received.
•    Loads and unloads trucks.
•    Checks forklift for problems such as fluid levels, tires, and forks.
•    Stacks and unstacks palletized material in storage racks.
•    Performs various warehouse and shipping tasks, as required.

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS

•    Lifting -- Not to exceed 50 lbs. -- local practice may apply.
•    Writing
•    Sitting
•    Standing
•    Bending
•    Vision
•    Color perception
•    Depth perception
•    Reading
•    Field of vision/peripheral
•    Fine motor skills
•    Noise

SUMMARY OF MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

•    Educational experience equivalent to a High School Diploma and one year forklift experience.
•    Must be able to operate a forklift safely. 
•    Must be forklift certified.
•    Ability to be neat and organized and pay extreme attention to detail.
•    Must be able to work under strict time constraints and meet deadlines in a timely manner.
•    Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with others.
•    Demonstrated computer skills preferably spreadsheets, word processing, database and other applicable software programs.

COMMENTS

Infectious Control Risk Category III:

The risk category explains whether or not employees are likely to come into contact with blood or body fluids while performing their jobs.  Risk category III states employment and procedures that do not require exposure.
