Omya is seeking a skilled Mechanical/Electrical Technician to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain critical plant equipment that supports safe, efficient, and high-quality production operations. What You'll Do
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Maintain and optimize production equipment to minimize downtime.
- Read and interpret electrical diagrams, blueprints, and mechanical drawings.
- Perform equipment inspections, rebuilds, retrofits, and preventive maintenance.
- Support process instrumentation, drives, and control systems.
- Document maintenance activities and maintain accurate records.
- Train and support team members on equipment operation and safety procedures.
- Follow all plant safety and environmental standards.
Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Electrical/Electronics or equivalent industrial maintenance experience.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with industrial equipment, motors, hydraulics, pneumatics, and process controls.
- Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics.
- Strong computer and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- 4+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
- Welding, pipefitting, millwright, or fabrication experience.
- Experience with instrumentation, VFDs, and manufacturing process equipment.
Work Environment
- Manufacturing plant environment.
- Frequent walking, climbing, lifting, and equipment repair activities.
- Occasional lifting up to 100 pounds.
- On-call availability for emergency maintenance support, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
