ABOUT YOU:
The Product Manager is responsible for managing the development, launch, and ongoing management of assigned products, working within the broader product strategy to deliver products that meet consumer, brand, performance, and business objectives.
The Product Manager translates consumer, market, competitive, and business insights into defined product requirements and manages products through the development process from concept to launch. This role works closely with Engineering, Industrial Design, Marketing, Sales, Operations, Quality, and Finance to ensure products are developed and commercialized effectively.
This role involves being a key cross-functional contributor, responsible for driving product decisions, managing priorities, coordinating development activities, and ensuring teams remain aligned throughout the product development process.
This role will require you to be onsite at Cervelo’s HQ in Aliso Viejo, CA.
WHAT DOES YOUR DAY JOB LOOK LIKE?
Manage product development from concept through launch, ensuring products meet defined performance, quality, cost, and timing objectives.
Develop product requirements, specifications, and priorities based on consumer, market, competitive, and business insights.
Coordinate cross-functional teams and activities to keep product development aligned with established objectives and timelines.
Evaluate product options and make recommendations that balance consumer needs, performance, cost, quality, and timing.
Support product business cases, target costs, pricing, margins, and other commercial objectives.
Partner with Marketing, Sales, and Commercial teams to support product positioning, launch planning, and commercialization.
Monitor product performance and consumer feedback to identify opportunities for product improvements, updates, and future development.
Maintain product information, documentation, and development standards while contributing to continuous improvement of Product Management practices.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:
3+ years of experience in product management specifically within the consumer goods industry.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team and ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and the Google Suite
Possess an awareness and appreciation of different cultures
The ability to resolve conflicts and find resolutions
Proficient at problem solving and thinking strategically
High level data analysis skills that include sales, forecasting, and competitive data.
Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities and stay organized.
Strong project management skills and the capability to keep projects on track.
Ability to collaborate with others and communicate effectively with team members and other departments.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
Understanding of technical cycling concepts
Bike industry experience
Product management and manufacturing experience is an asset
A passion for Triathlon and understanding of the Triathlete’s cycling needs.
SALARY RANGE: The compensation package will be dependent on experience, qualifications and industry experience with a potential range of up to $100K.
