Position Description:

The Records Management Assistant III position will performs clerical and records management duties in support of police operations. Maintains official reports, assists the public, and ensures compliance with Kentucky Open Records laws and confidentiality standards aligned with Kentucky State Police guidelines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain, file, and retrieve police records and reports.

  • Prepare and redact reports for open records requests.

  • Enter and update data in law enforcement databases.

  • Respond to public and agency inquiries.

  • Process payments in coordination with Finance.

  • Provide general administrative and clerical support.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in clerical or records management work.

  • Basic computer and data entry proficiency.

  • Knowledge of office procedures and records systems.

  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.

  • Ability to interact professionally with the public and staff.

Target Compensation Maximum:

$29.27

Target Compensation Minimum:

$19.51

Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
