What would you do? • Industry X operations enables end-to-end operations integration through data & digital twin to operate client core processes and client product centric operations. • Moving to an intelligent operating model powered by data, digital technologies and talent unlocked value at the seams • The Asset Expert, Cable, HV LV Systems will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, safety, and optimized performance of high voltage HV and low voltage LV cable networks. The role involves lifecycle management of underground and overhead cabling systems, condition monitoring, diagnostics, and maintenance strategies to minimize downtime, extend asset life, and support safe and efficient operations. • Define and deliver asset data management solutions, to capture, validate and improve plant, equipment, bill of material and maintenance plan data and install base management.
What are we looking for? • Bachelor s degree (B.E. B.Tech in Electrical Engineering) • Enough experience in HV LV cable systems, (design, installation, O&M, or asset management.) • Strong knowledge of HV LV cable systems and accessories. • Hands-on experience with diagnostic equipment (VLF testing, PD measurement, fault locators, sheath testing, etc.). • Proficiency in asset management systems. • Familiarity with international standards. • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
Roles and Responsibilities: • Develop and implement asset management strategies for HV and LV cable systems in alignment with standards followed in UK. • Maintain asset registers, technical documentation, and lifecycle planning data. • Conduct risk-based inspections and recommend replacement, refurbishment, or upgrades. • Support CAPEX and OPEX planning for cable system investments. Technical Expertise, HV and LV Cables • Perform design reviews, installation supervision, and commissioning of cable systems. • Conduct condition monitoring and diagnostic testing VLF, tan delta, partial discharge, sheath testing, fault location, etc.. • Analyze test results and prepare technical reports with actionable recommendations. • Lead root cause analysis of cable faults and failures and develop preventive measures. • Ensure compliance with IEC, IEEE, national grid codes, and utility standards. Operations & Maintenance Support • Provide expert guidance to site teams during cable installation, termination, and jointing. • Develop preventive and predictive maintenance schedules for HV and LV cable assets. • Support emergency response, troubleshooting, and restoration activities. • Liaise with OEMs, vendors, and contractors for specialized maintenance and repairs. Stakeholder & Knowledge Management • Provide technical expertise to internal teams, project managers, and leadership. • Contribute to training programs for engineers and technicians on cable asset management. • Stay updated with latest technologies, diagnostic tools, and industry best practices.
