Salary: £37,520.00 - £46,900.00

About Us:

At Martin Brower UK & Ireland, we are a global leader in supply chain and logistics, dedicated to innovation and sustainability. At Martin Brower, we believe that collaboration, empathy, and innovation help create workplaces where everyone can succeed. We are looking for a Data Privacy & Protection Analyst to join our Data Privacy & Protection team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. In this role, you will help support our privacy compliance activities across the UK and Republic of Ireland, contributing to a culture where data protection and responsible information management are embedded into everything we do.

Our CARES Values:

We are guided by our CARES Values: Change, Act As One, Relationships, Equity & Inclusion, and Safety & Wellness. We believe that embracing change and collaboration fosters strong relationships and ensures a safe and inclusive environment where everyone thrives.

Position Summary:

As a Data Privacy Specialist, you will support a range of data protection and privacy compliance activities across multiple jurisdictions. Working closely with colleagues across the business and the wider Data Privacy & Protection team, you will help maintain compliance processes, support privacy assessments, manage data protection records, and contribute to building a privacy-first culture. This role offers the opportunity to work on meaningful projects while supporting regulatory compliance and continuous improvement initiatives.

Why This Role?

This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting privacy and data protection practices across an international organisation. You'll work collaboratively with teams across the business, gain exposure to a broad range of privacy disciplines, and help ensure that data is managed responsibly and ethically. Joining a supportive and knowledgeable team, you'll have the opportunity to develop your skills while contributing to initiatives that support both colleagues and customers.

What You'll Do:

  • Support day-to-day data protection and privacy compliance activities across the UK & Republic of Ireland.
  • Maintain records of processing activities, data mapping documentation, consent records, and privacy governance processes.
  • Assist with Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs), and other risk management activities.
  • Help manage Data Subject Requests, ensuring responses are completed accurately and within regulatory timeframes.
  • Support vendor risk assessments, data processing agreement reviews, and international data transfer assessments.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to provide guidance on privacy-related matters and promote compliance best practices.
  • Contribute to privacy awareness initiatives, training programmes, and the development of a privacy-first culture.

Why Choose Martin Brower?

  • People-First Culture: Our employees are our most valuable asset. We cultivate a supportive atmosphere where every voice is heard and valued.
  • Opportunities for Growth: We invest in your development with clear paths for career advancement, whether that means progressing in your current role or exploring new opportunities within the organisation.
  • Culture of Continuous Improvement: We empower you to innovate and share ideas that help improve processes, strengthen compliance practices, and enhance team effectiveness.

Who You Are:

  • You have a degree or equivalent experience, alongside experience working in data privacy, data protection, or a related compliance field.
  • You have practical knowledge of GDPR and related privacy requirements, including areas such as DPIAs, data mapping, processing records, consent management, vendor risk management, and data subject rights.
  • You communicate clearly and effectively, building positive working relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • You enjoy working collaboratively and have a thoughtful approach to problem-solving and managing sensitive information.
  • You are organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high standards of accuracy.
  • You are comfortable working with technology and may have experience using privacy management platforms, such as OneTrust, or similar tools.

What We Offer:

  • Fully remote working with occasional travel as required.
  • A supportive and collaborative team environment where learning and development are encouraged.
  • Opportunities to work on international privacy and compliance initiatives.
  • Exposure to a broad range of data protection disciplines and stakeholders.
  • A culture that prioritises wellbeing, inclusion, flexibility, and work-life balance.
  • Access to ongoing professional development and career growth opportunities.
  • The chance to contribute to meaningful work that supports responsible data practices across the business.
