Housekeeping Outside Services for Northwood Club

Established in 1946, Northwood Club is a premier country club located in the heart of North Dallas. Tucked quietly, yet conveniently near Interstate 635 and the Dallas North Tollway, the club provides all the facilities and events that professionals or families need to entertain, socialize and recreate.

We are currently looking for someone to work Housekeeping Outside Services and ability to do large labor projects.  Tasks will include assisting with cleaning and maintaining all public areas in all of the buildings, cleaning floors and walkways with use of commercial buffer or pressure washer, cleaning of windows outside and inside, disposal of trash to main dumpsters and recycling, maintaining trash cans around the oustside of the Clubhouse and parking lot. Cleaning of outside bathrooms. Assisting with deliveries for housekeeping items. 

Essential Duties:

• Sweeps and washes floors, vacuums, and spot clean carpet, washes windows and clean ashtrays.
• Removes trash from areas and transfers dumpster and recycling bins.
• Performs general cleaning tasks as instructed, using cleaning products to adhere to health standards.
• Cleans unexpected spills and executes special member requests.
• Operate equipment necessary to clean floors, walkways, and windows.
• Store Linens in designated location(s) and keep area clean and organized.
• Maintains flexibility to take on new and different tasks as directed by the Department Manager/Supervisor.
• Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.

Education/Experience:
Less than high school education; or up to six months related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills:
English may be required: to read a limited number or two and three syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers; to print and speak simple sentences.

Mathematical Skills:
May be required: to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.

Reasoning Ability:
May be required: to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one and two step instructions; to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

Physical Demands:
Frequently stands and walks; uses hands to finger, feel or handle; reach with hands and arms. Occasionally stoops, kneels, crawls, crouches, sits, talks or hears. Regularly lifts up to 25 pounds and occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds.

Vision Requirements:
Regularly uses close, distance, color, and peripheral vision as well as depth perception. Ability to adjust focus.

Environment/Noise:
Frequently works in wet and humid conditions (non-weather) and near moving mechanical parts. Regularly works in extreme heat (non-weather). Noise level is moderate.

Certificates/Licenses:
Must be at least age 18.

Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences:

• Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job (e.g. the employee may be required to communicate with English speaking members or co-workers, the manuals for equipment the employee may use are in English).
• Must have valid driver license to operate and drive golf cart.
