Oak Valley Health is currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and skilled Chief / Medical Director of Obstetrics & Gynaecology to help us deliver world-class integrated care for healthier communities.

Reporting to the Chief of Staff and Vice President of Medical Operations, the Chief/Medical Director provides clinical, professional, operational and strategic leadership for the Department. Working within a shared leadership model, the role partners closely with clinical and administrative leaders to support high standards of quality and patient safety, effective medical staff oversight and alignment with organizational priorities. Key priorities will include advancing quality and patient safety, supporting recruitment and development of physicians, strengthening collaboration with clinical partners, and contributing to the organization’s academic, education, research, and innovation agenda.

At a time of significant transformation, the Chief/Medical Director will play a key role in strengthening departmental culture, enhancing physician engagement and advancing a cohesive vision for the future of obstetrical and gynaecological services at Oak Valley Health. The role will support continued program expansion and ongoing collaboration across perioperative services to ensure coordinated, high-performing care delivery. Key priorities will include advancing quality and patient safety, supporting recruitment and development of physicians, strengthening collaboration with surgical and clinical partners, and contributing to the organization’s academic, education, research and innovation agenda. 

Qualifications/Experience:

  • An independent license or eligibility for an independent license with the CPSO 
  • FRCSC Certification from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
  • Hospital privileges or eligibility for hospital privileges with the ability to provide clinical services consistent with other members of the department
  • Significant clinical and administrative experience with a history of excellence, leadership, team engagement and collaboration at a department, program and organizational level
  • Strategic management experience, with the ability to set and meet targets, understand and interpret analytics and undertake significant change management
