Description
Our client is seeking an experienced Insurance Billing Operations Analyst to join their Nebraska team. This position will support the day-to-day administration of direct billing activities while serving as a resource for agents and internal business partners regarding billing, payment, and system-related matters.
The ideal candidate will have experience within the insurance industry, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to identify opportunities to improve billing processes and the overall customer experience. Candidates must reside in Omaha, NE, or the surrounding area.
Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day direct billing activities and address both standard and more involved billing, payment, and account-related concerns.

Partner with agents and internal teams, including Underwriting, Finance, Customer Service, and other operational departments, to research and resolve account discrepancies.

Review payment activity, account history, and transaction trends to identify processing issues and recommend appropriate solutions.

Serve as a key resource for troubleshooting billing system issues and resolving operational questions from agents and internal business partners.

Identify recurring billing or system challenges and recommend workflow, system, or procedural improvements.

Maintain a strong working knowledge of billing platforms, payment processes, account workflows, and related insurance operations.
Qualifications

Previous experience in insurance billing, direct bill operations, accounting operations, policy services, or a related insurance function.

Working knowledge of insurance billing processes, payment processing, account reconciliation, collections, or policy-related financial transactions.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate account and system discrepancies.

Experience working with billing, policy administration, accounting, or other insurance-related systems.

Ability to analyze operational data and recognize trends, recurring issues, and opportunities for process improvement.
