Master Automotive Technician – $10,000 Sign-On Bonus
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Master Automotive Technician to join a busy automotive service team. This position is ideal for a highly skilled technician who can independently diagnose complex vehicle issues, perform major mechanical repairs, troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems, and consistently deliver high-quality repairs.
The ideal candidate has strong diagnostic skills, extensive hands-on repair experience, and the ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose complex automotive mechanical and electrical problems
- Perform comprehensive vehicle inspections and identify necessary repairs
- Complete major mechanical repairs and component replacements
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and drivability issues
- Use diagnostic equipment and scan tools to identify vehicle problems
- Interpret diagnostic results and determine appropriate repair procedures
- Perform engine, transmission, steering, suspension, brake, and other major repairs
- Follow manufacturer repair procedures and technical specifications
- Complete repairs accurately and efficiently while maintaining quality standards
- Document diagnostic findings, repairs, and parts used
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Communicate repair findings and recommendations clearly
- Work independently while also supporting the overall service team
- Stay current on automotive technology, diagnostic procedures, and repair techniques
- Follow all safety procedures and shop standards
Qualifications
- Experienced automotive technician required
- Master-level diagnostic and repair experience strongly preferred
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to diagnose and repair complex automotive systems
- Experience performing major mechanical repairs
- Strong knowledge of modern vehicle systems and technology
- Ability to use automotive diagnostic tools and scan equipment
- Ability to read and interpret technical information and repair procedures
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Excellent problem-solving and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Valid driver's license required
- ASE certifications and/or manufacturer certifications preferred
