PacAero is looking for a Second Shift Manufacturing Supervisor to lead our manufacturing team in Agawam, MA. In this role, you’ll provide hands-on floor leadership across CNC Machining, Plating, Quality, and Assembly, helping keep people, priorities, and production moving in the right direction.

Second shift needs more than someone keeping an eye on production. It needs a leader — someone who can walk the floor, understand what needs to get done, set priorities, work through problems, and keep the team moving together.

What You’ll Do

As the Second Shift Manufacturing Supervisor, you’ll provide day-to-day leadership and coordination across second-shift operations. You’ll spend your time on the floor with the team, monitoring production, setting priorities, addressing issues as they arise, and making sure employees have the direction and support they need to be successful.

You’ll work closely with department leaders across Machining, Plating, Quality, Assembly, Engineering, and other support functions to maintain continuity between shifts, communicate production needs, resolve issues, and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to our quality standards.

Just as importantly, you’ll lead people. That means setting clear expectations, providing coaching and feedback, recognizing strong performance, addressing concerns when they arise, and helping build a second-shift team that works well together and gets results.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone with manufacturing experience and demonstrated experience leading people in a production environment. You should be comfortable working across multiple areas of manufacturing, balancing changing priorities, solving problems on the floor, and making sound decisions when senior leaders may not be onsite.

You don’t need to know every machine, process, or technical detail. You do need to know how to ask the right questions, bring the right people together, communicate clearly, and keep production moving without compromising safety or quality.

Schedule:  Full-time | Second Shift | Onsite in Agawam, MA | Monday–Thursday | 4 x 10-hour shifts

This position is eligible for a second-shift differential.

As part of a manufacturing environment supporting customer demand, additional hours may occasionally be required based on production and business needs.

Requirements

• Provide day-to-day leadership and oversight of second-shift manufacturing operations across CNC Machining, Plating, Quality, and Assembly
• Establish shift priorities and coordinate people and resources to support production schedules and customer requirements
• Maintain a visible presence on the production floor and provide employees with clear direction, support, and timely decision-making
• Monitor workflow, staffing, quality, safety, and production performance throughout the shift
• Coach employees, provide ongoing feedback, recognize strong performance, and address performance or conduct concerns in partnership with department leadership and Human Resources
• Reinforce employee accountability for safety, quality, attendance, productivity, and established work standards
• Respond to production issues, determine appropriate next steps, and escalate technical, quality, safety, or operational concerns when necessary
• Coordinate with first-shift department leaders to ensure effective shift handoffs, continuity of priorities, and communication of outstanding issues
• Partner with Quality and Engineering to address production or quality concerns and support timely resolution
• Ensure employees follow established work instructions, safety requirements, quality procedures, and Company policies
• Support employee training, cross-training, development, and effective utilization of the second-shift workforce
• Monitor production progress and communicate significant issues, delays, staffing concerns, or resource needs to appropriate leadership
• Support continuous improvement initiatives that improve safety, quality, efficiency, workflow, and employee engagement
• Maintain a safe, organized, and productive manufacturing environment
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, operations, business, engineering, or a related field is a plus
• Previous experience working in a manufacturing or production environment required
• Previous supervisory, team lead, or other demonstrated people-leadership experience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred
• Working knowledge of manufacturing operations, production workflow, quality requirements, and workplace safety
• Ability to lead employees across multiple manufacturing functions and effectively prioritize work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to respond appropriately to issues when limited leadership is onsite
• Ability to coach employees, provide clear feedback, set expectations, and address performance concerns
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across departments and shifts
• Comfortable using basic computer systems and manufacturing or production documentation
• Ability to remain organized, adaptable, and composed as production priorities change
• Commitment to safety, quality, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

This position works primarily in an active manufacturing environment and requires a regular presence on the production floor across machining, plating, assembly, quality, and other production areas. Employees must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.

The role requires frequent standing and walking throughout manufacturing areas; regular communication and interaction with employees across the shift; occasional sitting and computer work; bending, reaching, and other movement associated with working in a production environment; and occasional lifting or moving of materials or components weighing up to 40 pounds.

The position involves working around manufacturing equipment, machine noise, moving equipment, and production processes, including areas where chemicals are used. Employees must follow all applicable safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Expected Compensation

The anticipated pay range posted for this position represents PacAero (Litron, LLC)’s good-faith estimate of compensation for the role at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors including relevant experience, education, skills, certifications, internal equity, geographic market data, current market conditions, and the overall compensation and benefits package associated with the position, in accordance with applicable law and Company policy.
