At GenesisCare Crows Nest (Mater Hospital), we're looking for a compassionate Registered Nurse to join our close-knit Radiation Oncology team on a 12 month full time contract.

No Radiation Oncology experience? No problem. We provide comprehensive training and ongoing support, making this an excellent opportunity to step into a specialised area of nursing and expand your clinical skills in a highly respected healthcare setting.

With Monday to Friday clinic hours only, you'll enjoy the work life balance that can be difficult to find in nursing. No night shifts, no weekends and more time to focus on the things that matter most outside of work.

More specifically, you will:

You will play an important role in delivering safe, high quality, patient centred care by:

• Providing compassionate nursing care in a radiation oncology environment, supporting patients' physical and emotional wellbeing
• Educating patients and delivering clinical care, including medication administration and skin and wound management
• Coordinating daily patient activities to ensure a seamless and positive treatment experience
• Working closely with Radiation Oncologists, Radiation Therapists and Patient Services teams to support integrated patient care
• Building strong, trusted relationships with patients and their families throughout treatment
• Maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation to support continuity of care
• Adhering to established clinical procedures, protocols and best practice standards
• Applying medication safety principles consistently in all aspects of care
• Using structured communication tools, including ISBAR, to promote safe and effective collaboration
• Contributing to a positive, supportive and team focused culture

We're interested in hearing from people who have:

You are a caring and capable Registered Nurse who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient experiences and committed to ongoing professional growth:

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
• Two or more years' post graduate nursing experience preferredExperience in oncology or radiation oncology is highly regarded, although not essential
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with patients
• Strong clinical assessment, decision making and problem solving abilities
• A commitment to best practice and quality patient care aligned with NSQHS standards
• A proactive approach to learning and professional development
• Experience in wound care management
