  • Provide one-on-one and group coaching on mental health disability claims, functional assessment, claimant engagement, recovery planning, and return-to-work strategies.
  • Support the development of clinical reasoning and best-practice disability management approaches.
  • Develop and deliver practical tools, resources, training, and guidance materials that build mental health expertise across the organization.

Rehabilitation & Return-to-Work Support

  • Assess functional capacity, work readiness, and rehabilitation opportunities.
  • Recommend rehabilitation, clinical, and workplace interventions that support meaningful recovery.
  • Provide guidance on return-to-work planning and sustainable workplace reintegration ensuring the focus remains on function.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify trends, insights, and opportunities to enhance mental health disability management practices.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, best practices, and program enhancements that improve outcomes for claimants and teams including reducing claim durations with our Every Day Matters Philosophy.
  • Maintain current knowledge of mental health, rehabilitation, disability management, and insurance industry trends.

What You Bring:
Education & Experience

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant health or clinical discipline.
  • 5 to 7 years of experience in mental health, rehabilitation, disability management, occupational health, or a related clinical field.
  • Experience supporting complex mental health disability cases and navigating recovery or return-to-work considerations.
  • Experience coaching, mentoring, consulting, or providing specialized clinical guidance to disability management professionals.
  • Professional designation in a regulated health profession, including Occupational Therapy, Social Work and Other related clinical disciplines is mandatory.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Advanced knowledge of mental health conditions, evidence-based treatment approaches, and recovery-oriented practices.
  • Strong understanding of disability management and return-to-work principles.
  • Excellent coaching, consultation, facilitation, and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-support capabilities.
  • Ability to influence, build trust, and collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders.
  • English & French proficiency is required to perform the duties of the role, which include daily collaboration with teams and partners who operate in both English and French.
