Job Description

As a Security Officer in Janesville, WI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Access Control Officer in a retail location, you will help manage entry points, verify badges and visitor access, monitor assigned areas, and provide outstanding customer service. Using computer or tablet tools, you will support a welcoming environment while helping to deter security-related incidents. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to store associates, delivery personnel, and visitors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and/or authorization for individuals entering restricted areas, and maintain visitor and delivery logs as required.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of designated retail areas, receiving locations, employee entrances, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and report unusual activity.
• Communicate professionally with store leadership and Allied Universal management, documenting incidents, observations, and access-control-related activities accurately.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
