Overview
We are looking for a hands-on, technically strong, and proactive Utilities Team Lead to lead the operation and maintenance of plant utilities. This role requires an individual who can think systematically, troubleshoot complex utility systems, optimize utility performance, and build a high-performing operations team.
The ideal candidate should possess strong operational and maintenance experience across multiple utility systems, demonstrate sound engineering judgment, and be capable of independently leading breakdown response, preventive maintenance, shutdown execution, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
Utilities Operations & Reliability
Lead the Utilities Operations team to ensure safe and reliable 24/7 operation of all plant utilities.
Drive operational excellence by optimizing utility efficiency, reliability, and cost.
Lead troubleshooting of utility breakdowns and ensure timely restoration of services.
Analyze recurring failures, identify root causes, and implement sustainable corrective and preventive actions.
Develop and maintain equipment operating strategies to maximize reliability and availability.

Gas fired Steam Boiler (Bosch)
Biomass Fired Boiler
Steam & Electrical Dehumidifiers
Air Handling Units
LPG Vaporizers
Fire Fighting Water Pumps & Sprinkler System
Maintenance & Shutdown Management
Plan and support execution of annual shutdowns and major maintenance activities.
Ensure preventive maintenance is effective and continuously improved based on equipment history and reliability data.
Maintain accurate equipment history and technical documentation.
Ensure OEM recommendations are effectively translated into practical maintenance strategies.
Projects & Continuous Improvement
Support execution and commissioning of CAPEX and sustainability projects related to Utilities.
Identify opportunities for energy optimization, reliability improvement, and operational cost reduction.
Participate in engineering modifications and equipment upgrades.
Vendor & Contractor Management
Manage OEMs and contractors during servicing and overhauls.
Verify quality of work before acceptance and ensure compliance with engineering standards.
Optimize maintenance costs without compromising reliability.
Team Leadership
Lead, coach and develop Utilities Operators.
Set clear performance expectations and develop technical capability within the team.
Manage shift rosters, overtime, leave planning, and daily manpower allocation.
Promote a culture of ownership, accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
Compliance
Ensure compliance with EHS, Food Safety, Quality, AIB, and other Legal statutory requirements.
Maintain utility SOPs, emergency procedures and engineering documentation.
Coordinate with government utility authorities regarding supply interruptions and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics or Mechatronics Engineering with 4-5 years of experience
OR
B-Tech (Engineering) / First Class Boiler Engineer with 7-10 years of experience
