Finnair Technical Operations is looking for a  

Fleet Transitions Technical Records Lead 

to join our Technical Fleet Transitions team. In this role, you will take end-to-end responsibility for managing aircraft technical records during fleet transition activities, including phase-in, phase-out, and entry-into-service programs. You will ensure that all aircraft documentation is accurate, complete, traceable, and fully compliant at key delivery and redelivery milestones. 

 

Main responsibilities: 

  • Manage aircraft technical records for fleet transition projects, ensuring regulatory, contractual, and internal compliance 
  • Coordinate and manage outsourced technical records service providers, ensuring quality and timely delivery 
  • Identify, analyse, and resolve records gaps, discrepancies, and inconsistencies 
  • Perform and coordinate records correction, reconciliation, and reconstruction activities 
  • Prepare and validate technical records deliverables such as status and compliance statements 
  • Ensure readiness of technical records to support aircraft delivery and redelivery 
  • Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, fleet transition programs, lessors, and external partners 
  • Identify risks early and support mitigation to prevent delays or exposure 
  • Maintain oversight of records quality, traceability, and configuration consistency 
  • Support continuous improvement of technical records processes and ways of working 
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of records under tight transition schedules 
  • Resolve historical documentation gaps and legacy issues 
  • Coordinate corrective actions across multiple stakeholders and external providers 
  • Balance regulatory airworthiness requirements with contractual needs 
  • Maintain high data quality in outsourced records environments 

 

Our expectations: 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent 
  • Fluent English (written and spoken) 
  • Experience with aircraft technical records in airline, MRO, leasing, or consultancy environment 
  • Experience supporting aircraft deliveries, redeliveries, or fleet transitions 
  • Hands-on experience in records reconciliation, correction, and reconstruction 
  • Experience working in a regulated aviation environment 
  • Experience coordinating external service providers is an advantage 
  • Familiarity with AMOS and FlyDocs is considered an advantage 
  • Strong knowledge of aircraft technical records and airworthiness (e.g. LLP, AD/SB, AMP, configuration control) 
  • High analytical and problem-solving capability 
  • Strong attention to detail and data integrity 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under schedule pressure 
  • Strong collaboration and stakeholder communication skills 
  • Structured and solution-oriented working approach
