The OpportunityAs a Houston - DAT - Intern, you will engage in a dynamic learning environment, gaining exposure to PwC's practices and methodologies within our Assurance practice. You will support teams by participating in projects, conducting research, and performing basic tasks that contribute to the success of our client engagements. This role offers a unique opportunity to observe and learn from experienced professionals, enhancing your understanding of audit and assurance processes.
As an Intern, you will focus on developing your skills and gaining exposure to professional work environments. You will support teams by observing and participating in projects, applying a learning mindset, and taking ownership of your development. This role emphasizes the importance of appreciating diverse perspectives and actively listening to enhance your communication skills.
In this role, you will have the chance to work on a variety of assignments, each presenting different challenges and scope. Responsibilities
- Supporting audit teams in conducting independent evaluations of financial reporting
- Participating in the application of auditing methodologies to assess compliance with regulatory requirements
- Observing and learning from experienced auditors to gain exposure to PwC's practices and methodologies
- Assisting in the preparation and analysis of financial data to uphold transparency and integrity
- Engaging in basic tasks and research to contribute to the team's success
- Applying a learning mindset to develop personal and professional skills
- Gathering information from various sources to analyze facts and discern patterns
- Collaborating with team members to enhance decision-making processes and drive business forward
What You Must Have
- Currently pursuing or have completed a Bachelor's degree in one of the following fields of study: Accounting, Management Information Systems, Business Analytics, Computer and Information Science, Information Technology
- At least a 3.0 overall GPA
- Before starting full-time at PwC, meet the educational requirements to be eligible to sit for the CPA exam in your intended state of employment or the educational requirements for licensure as a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
- Client service intern positions are considered entry-level roles. Candidates are typically in their third year of a four-year degree program or fourth year of a five-year program at the time of application
