About you:
We are looking for a talented individual to join our team as a senior machinist at our facility in North Billerica, Massachusetts. As a senior machinist, you will be responsible for setting up and operating various types of machine tools to produce precision parts and components according to specifications. You will also be responsible for maintaining equipment, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with other members of our production team to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery of products. Responsibilities:
· Operate multiple machines simultaneously while ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
· Monitor the quality of finished products and make necessary adjustments to meet specifications.
· Collaborate with other machinists and technicians to resolve any issues or problems that may arise during production.
· Maintain and clean machine tools regularly to keep them in good condition.
· Adjust tooling and workholding devices to accommodate different materials and product designs.
· Load and unload machines manually or using hoists.
· Participate in continuous improvement projects aimed at increasing productivity and reducing waste.
Qualifications:
· Minimum of 5 years’ experience in machining operations.
· Strong knowledge of CNC programming and operation.
· Experience with milling, turning, grinding, and/or hobbing processes.
· Familiarity with measuring instruments such as micrometers, dial bore indicators, and depth gauges.
· Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
· Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality products.
· Effective communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
· Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations in a manufacturing environment.
· Flexibility to work on second shift if needed.
