FISKARS

Director, Global 3PM Sourcing

Middleton, WI

Hybrid — 3 days onsite, 2 days remote

At Fiskars, we believe in creating meaningful products that bring joy and purpose to everyday life. Behind some of the world’s most recognized gardening, crafting, and creative products is a global network of partners, innovators, and teams working together to bring great ideas to consumers.

We are looking for a Director, Global 3PM Sourcing to lead and shape our global third-party manufacturing strategy across Fiskars Garden and Creative products.

This is a newly created leadership role with significant global scope and influence. You will lead a team of sourcing professionals across Europe, the US, and China while partnering closely with Brand, Commercial, R&D, Quality, Supply Chain, and other functions to build a competitive, resilient, innovative supplier network.

This role is about more than sourcing products. It is about shaping how Fiskars brings new ideas to market, creates value, builds strategic partnerships, and grows our business.

What You'll Do:

Lead Global Sourcing Strategy

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive global third-party manufacturing strategy aligned with Fiskars' long-term business objectives.
  • Lead the global Finished Goods sourcing organization and ensure effective execution of sourcing and commercialization strategies.
  • Build a multi-year roadmap focused on cost optimization, supplier diversity, innovation, and supply chain resilience.
  • Analyze global market trends, supplier capabilities, competitive activity, and emerging opportunities to inform sourcing strategy.

Lead & Develop a Global Team

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing global sourcing team across Europe, the US, and China.
  • Set clear objectives, provide regular feedback, and create an environment of collaboration, innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Build organizational capabilities and establish best practices in strategic sourcing.

Build Strategic Supplier Partnerships

  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard strategic third-party manufacturing partners.
  • Build strong, long-term relationships with key suppliers and ensure alignment with Fiskars' quality, ethical, sustainability, and business standards.
  • Lead supplier performance reviews and drive corrective actions and continuous improvement.
  • Create opportunities for supplier innovation and involve strategic suppliers early in product development.

Drive Commercial Value

  • Partner closely with Brand Managers, Channel Business Development, R&D, designers, Quality, Supply Chain, and Commercial teams to identify new product and category opportunities.
  • Serve as a key sourcing partner in new product development and commercialization.
  • Support the development of new commercial categories and range extensions that contribute to net sales growth.
  • Use total cost of ownership, market intelligence, should-cost models, and data analytics to identify opportunities for value creation and cost reduction.
  • Lead negotiations around pricing, contracts, terms, and service-level agreements.

Shape Make-or-Buy Strategy

  • Co-lead Fiskars' strategic Make-or-Buy Committee alongside Supply Chain, Sourcing Management, and Group Management.
  • Evaluate internal manufacturing versus third-party manufacturing based on cost, quality, capacity, risk, and strategic considerations.
  • Translate analysis and market intelligence into recommendations aligned with Fiskars' long-term strategy.
  • Oversee implementation and track the business impact of Make-or-Buy decisions.

Strengthen Resilience, Sustainability & Compliance

  • Identify and mitigate geopolitical, financial, environmental, supplier, and supply chain risks.
  • Develop contingency strategies to support supply continuity and resilience.
  • Ensure sourcing activities meet ethical sourcing, regulatory, sustainability, and company standards.
  • Drive sustainable sourcing practices and contribute to circular economy initiatives.

Lead Continuous Improvement & Digital Transformation

  • Identify new technologies, processes, and best practices that can improve sourcing effectiveness.
  • Leverage digital sourcing tools, supplier relationship management systems, predictive analytics, and AI to improve decision-making and transparency.
  • Establish meaningful KPIs across cost, supplier performance, quality, lead times, innovation, and sourcing effectiveness.
  • Use data and insights to continuously improve the global sourcing organization.

What You'll Bring:

We are looking for a strategic and commercially minded sourcing leader who can operate confidently across a complex global organization.

You'll bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Economics, or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, supply chain, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of people leadership experience, ideally managing teams across multiple countries or regions.
  • Deep knowledge of strategic sourcing, supplier management, procurement, and global supply chains.
  • Strong strategic negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute global sourcing strategies.
  • Strong analytical, financial, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience working with third-party manufacturers and global supplier networks.
  • Ability to understand and discuss technical specifications and quality standards.
  • Strong understanding of global trade, ethical sourcing, and supply chain risk.
  • Experience with procurement tools, ERP systems, data analytics, or digital sourcing technologies.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong cultural awareness and the ability to work effectively across a diverse, global organization.
  • Full professional proficiency in English.

You are
Strategic. You can see beyond the immediate sourcing opportunity and translate business goals into a clear, long-term strategy.

Commercial. You understand that sourcing is a critical driver of growth, profitability, innovation, and competitive advantage.

Curious. You constantly look for new suppliers, technologies, ideas, and ways of working that can create value.

Collaborative. You bring people together across functions, geographies, and cultures to solve complex problems.

Decisive. You are comfortable making difficult decisions, negotiating firmly, and challenging the status quo when there is a better way forward.

Driven & Persistent. You are motivated by delivering results and don't stop at the first roadblock. You are persuasive, resourceful, and willing to think outside the box to find creative ways forward, remove barriers, and turn ideas into action and measurable impact.

A people leader. You know that building a strong global team and developing talent is essential to sustainable success.

How Success Will Be Measured

In this role, success means:

  • Delivering against global cost and value-creation targets.
  • Building a high-performing and globally connected sourcing organization.
  • Strengthening strategic supplier relationships and supplier innovation.
  • Improving quality, delivery, resilience, and supplier performance.
  • Supporting successful commercialization of new products and range extensions.
  • Making effective strategic Make-or-Buy decisions.
  • Advancing Fiskars' sustainability and ethical sourcing ambitions.
  • Continuously raising the standard for how global third-party manufacturing sourcing operates.
