Financial Operations - General Accounting

Location: Warsaw (Poland) or Queretaro (Mexico)

Hybrid working 

We are looking for an Intercompany Lead to take ownership of end-to-end Intercompany operations within MGS Finance. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of Intercompany accounting activities, supporting financial close processes, and maintaining the integrity and accuracy of financial reporting.

As a key partner to Operational Excellence Controllers, Tax and Statutory teams, and external service providers, you will drive operational excellence, monitor performance through KPIs, and ensure compliance with global policies and accounting standards. What will be your key responsibilities?

Operations

• Develop and maintain a strong understanding of end-to-end financial operations across Intercompany processes.
• Provide guidance on transactional accounting and reporting activities related to Intercompany processes, acting as the first level of escalation within MGS Finance.
• Ensure service delivery excellence for Intercompany Accounting activities, including monitoring performance and driving continuous improvement of key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Lead projects and analyses focused on automation, standardization, and efficiency improvements across Intercompany processes.
• Ensure compliance with global policies, accounting standards, and internal control requirements while maintaining the integrity and accuracy of financial statements.
• Oversee Intercompany operational processes performed by external service providers and ensure timely and high-quality delivery.

Business Partnering

• Partner with stakeholders to deliver accurate and timely financial results across the business units supported.
• Drive the standardization agenda by sharing best practices and supporting the implementation of global processes.
• Collaborate closely with Controllership, Tax, FP&A, Business Partners, and MGS Finance Tower Leads.
• Act as a trusted business partner to Operational Excellence (OE) Controllers, providing ownership of financial results, KPIs, and operational performance.
• Support improvements in the quality of financial accounts by providing insights and analysis across financial statements.

Efficiency & Effectiveness

• Own and drive initiatives to maintain a clean and effective Chart of Accounts.
• Support and partner with Functional and Operational Excellence teams to advance standardization and process efficiency initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to enhance operational effectiveness, strengthen controls, and improve overall process performance.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to simplify processes and increase scalability within the Intercompany Accounting area.

What are we looking for?

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• 2-3 years of experience in in accounting/finance operations/Intercompany Accounting,
• Flexibility to collaborate in a global team across different time zones and adjust working hours when business needs require.
• Fluent knowledge of English is a must.
